Crazy Horse Farm was very honored to be part of unique presentation at the Kentucky Horse Park. In a first-of-a-kind event - Nokotas joined forces with the Colonial Spanish horses of HOA - Horse of the Americas Registry. Together, we were the Special Guests in the Kentucky Horse Park's Parade of Breed exhibition over the weekend of October 28th & 29th, 2006.

Five Colonial Spanish horses and their 'people' representing HOA – Horse of the Americas - traveled from South Carolina to participate. Crazy Horse Farm's Blue Moon Rising was the solo Nokota performer.

Events such as this seem to be over in a blink of an eye. But it took months of hard work and preparation for our groups to get there. Jamie Hicks of Cherokee's Spirit Farm of Belton, South Carolina led the HOA effort.

Jamie and I spent hours and hours in phone consultation, putting together our scripts, selecting music and coordinating all and sundry details involved. Our efforts were supported with enthusiasm by both officials and members from HOA and the Nokota Horse Conservancy.

The cooperation and team spirit of our two organizations was simply wonderful. While our horses have distinct differences, we have much more in common than apart. Most importantly, by working together, we were able to showcase the our breeds very effectively. It was just a wonderful experience.

An extensive list of people and horses participated in our Kentucky Horse Park event, but we are most grateful to Frank Kuntz, co-founder of the Nokota Horse Conservancy and Tom Norush, president of HOA, for their leadership and unflagging support of this effort. And many, many thanks goes to Linda Brantley, Entertainment Coordinator at the Kentucky Horse Park, for extending this invitation to our organizations.
